Sorry to hear of Joan s passing-first got to know her at Belgrave Public School and whenever I would meet her and Tom on the street or in Stainton s we would have a visit, she was such a nice lady. Dear Armstrong Family, Sorry to see where your dear Joan has passed away. I was a student at Brussels Public School when she was employed as the school secretary. She was so approachable in the office whenever we students needed to see the principal (Ken Scott) or to get us something. My mother also taught Kindergarten there at the same time and when I got married all the school staff were invited so I know Joan and Tom were guests. Her obituary photo was the perfect choice as that is how I remember her in the office - a huge welcoming smile with a "Can I help you?" Sincerely Joyce (Ireland) King
