Dear Gary, Brian, Karen and families
Our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow.
There are not enough words to describe what Harold meant to our family. Moving to a foreign country and leaving family and friends behind was not easy but we found a wonderful new friend in Harold. Peter often sought his advice about farming matters and the two of them could spend hours laughing and trying to change the world. Our kids loved him dearly and he loved to tease them and be their "Stand-in Grandpa". We will miss this gentle man with the twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face.

Harold was a piece of sunshine in my day when he came to Belmore mill for feed for his livestock. He always had a twinkle in he eye and a story to tell. He was insistent that I should let him take my motorcycle for a ride. After a bit of pleading he would say he probably couldn't hold one up any longer anyway, then he would laugh and be on his way.
I am sure he will be greatly missed by his family and all those whose path he crossed. Our thoughts are with all of his family.
