My sincere condolences to you all on the loss of your dad. It was wonderful getting to know him the last couple of years and I’ll certainly miss his impactful conversations and hellos each day. I have very fond memories of Dr. Hall as my family Doctor and neighbour on Tennessee Ave. One summer I worked helping Mrs. Hall with all of the children and ironed many white shirts for Dr.Hall.Sending my deepest sympathies to all of the Family. I am sorry for your loss! I met your family in the summer of 1971 when Your father was my preceptor for Family Medicine in Port Colborne. I lived in the nurses residence and shadowed your father every day that summer. Your father played the organ for my wedding in Toronto in July 1974. We have lost touch over the past years. My deepest condolences to the family. Dr. Hall was my family doctor until he moved from Port Colborne. I was married and had 3 children and those were the days when you could see your family doctor on the same day you needed him (provided it wasn't a weekend or a holiday). Those were the days! Totally different now. He was a great doctor and I relied on him.

On behalf of the Port Colborne Lions Club, I would like to extend to the family members of Dr. Jim our sincere condolences on his passing. Lion Jim was a dedicated Lion member, always playing the piano when the anthem was sung and organized many of our events. We have missed him since he left our Club, however, we know that we will once again meet up with Lion Jim in Lion heaven. God bless my friend until we meet again. My sincere condolences to the family, Dr. Hall & family contributed to the Port Colborne United Church establishing a very strong bond through music with the choirs. He was our family Dr. after Dr. Wilson retired he was completely dedicated. Last time I saw Dr. and his wife was on Vancouver ferry to Nanaimo in 1975. Met in dinning room with my partner Dr. Irving Guttman on our way to Courtney Summer opera camp. He was pleased that I was involved in music. So sorry to hear about Jim’s passing. He was a good friend and played the organ at Central United in Port Colborne for our choir and congregation to enjoy. He played for me as I sang solos at different venues and always enjoyed transposing the piece to fit my vocal range. He had so much talent and was a wonderful person to spend time with.
