My condolences to you Sally and family in the loss of a cherished husband, father and grandfather. Richard was my french teacher of which I still have memories. Later, I too, was part of the staff at Wingham District High School where he taught for many years. He was always so pleasant to meet on the streets of Wingham and will be sadly missed by all.

I am sending my sincerest condolences to M. Campeau’s family. M. Campeau was my French teacher at F.E. Madill in the 1970’s. He had a profound effect on my learning and I want his loved ones to know. In Grade 13, M. Campeau arranged for me to go to Wingham Public School and “teach” French dialogues to the Grade Five classes during my spares. I wanted desperately to become a teacher and this was my raison d’être. I became a teacher and taught for thirty two years. And when I retired, I went to Paris four times and used my high school French! Thank you M.Campeau. The French language has given me much joy! They say it takes a village to raise a child. You had an important role in my life. Merci!

Dear Mrs. Campeau and Family, I am turning back the years to the early 70,s when Mr. Campeau was my French teacher for 3 years at F. E. He will. He always made class so interesting but the best times were every February on the train from Stratford to Quebec City for the annual Winter Carnival with Bon Homme! 4 days of wonderful experiences (and a nightly curfew of 11p.m.which we teens did not think was so wonderful!,) You both were terrific chaperones ( and possibly a little crazy taking on such an enormous task of delivering 35-40 kids to Quebec and back again for 3 years running!) My spoken French has sadly fallen into demise over the years but I can still read it fairly competently. Dear Sally and the Campeau and Slosser families,
My prayers are with you in this time of mourning. I fondly remember our teaching days at the high school and your visits to our apartment to be with Connie and me. As you are probably aware, Lori, our daughter, died in 2015, and Connie passed away in 2017. Lori's husband died last year. I wish I could be there for the funeral Mass, but I have an appointment I have to keep. Be assured that Richard will be in Heaven with Connie, Lori and John and they will be waiting for us when God calls us home. Love to all.
