Obituary of Elizabeth McKercher

At South Grey Bruce Health Centre, Walkerton on Sunday, October 07, 2018, Elizabeth (Griffith) McKercher formerly of Jamestown at the age of 91.

Beloved wife of the late Glenn McKercher who predeceased her in 2003. Loving mother of Ann & Ron Larsen of Port Elgin and John & Julie McKercher of Wroxeter. Cherished grandmother of Heather Larsen & Blair Rodgers, John & Vanessa Larsen, Jenn & Ryan Robinson and Rob McKercher & fiancée Sarah Kwasniewski and great-grandmother of Alyaina, Kaius, Ryder, Blake and Charlotte.

Predeceased by her parents George & Annie (Hislop) Griffith, grandson Chris Larsen, sister Millie Nixon (Wallace), brother Jack Griffith and sister-in-law Ruth Sharpin (Clark).

Elizabeth was brought up on a farm in Howick Township and later spent 64 of her 91 years in Jamestown.  She worked at the CIBC in Wingham, taught at S.S. # 5 Morris, kept store in Jamestown and worked in the family business, McKercher Construction, during her lifetime.

Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Wednesday, from 7:00-9:00 pm and again on Thursday from 12:00noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Final resting place, Wroxeter Cemetery.

Memorial donations to Diabetes Canada or CNIB would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
