Obituary of Doreen Margaret Boyle

At University Hospital, London, on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, age 91 years. Doreen Margaret (Walters) Boyle of London, formerly of Kitchener and Goderich. Beloved wife of Norman Boyle and loving mother of daughters Barbara Smith (Norm), Margaret Barry (Rob) and son Robert Boyle (Sharon). Predeceased by son William John. Proud grandmother of Stephanie Schembri (Mario), Heather Murrell (Craig), Andrea Ripley (Gord), Steven Barry, Caitlin, Ryan and Sarah Boyle. Dear great-grandmother of Andrew and Dylan Schembri and Ava Murrell. Survived by sister-in-law Rita Turner. Predeceased by sister Lois White, brothers-in-law Robert Turner and Harry Boyle and sister-in-law Marion Boyle. Born in Toronto on October 5, 1922 to Clare and Ada Walters and married to Norman Boyle on June 14, 1947. Attended Jarvis Collegiate in Toronto. Doreen had a passion for travelling, the performing arts, including the Drayton Festival Theatre, and the music of Lawrence Welk. In her younger years, she studied ballet and voice and appeared at Massey Hall and the CNE. A member of Holy Family Parish in London and a past 25 year member of the Catholic Women's League (CWL) in Kitchener. Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., Wingham, Ontario on Friday, from 12:30 pm. until 1:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wingham on Friday at 2:00 pm. Father K.P. Morrison officiating. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery, West Wawanosh Township. Many thanks to the staff at University Hospital for their kind and very professional care during her final days.
