At Queensway Nursing Home, on Sunday, August 17, 2014, Freda Johnston, formerly of Belgrave, age 95 years. The former Freda Jordan, beloved wife of the late George A. Johnston (1994). Cherished mother of Doug and Sue Johnston of Lucan and mother-in-law of Brad McCann of Thornbury. Grandmother of Rod and Tara Johnston of Lucan, Shelley and Trevor Curry of Waterdown and Jackie McCann and friend Jamie of Brampton. Great-grandmother of Megan, Allie, Shayne and Olivia. Sister-in-law of Lauretta Johnston of Woodstock. Predeceased by her daughter Brenda McCann (2002), brothers-in-law Charlie Johnston and Flemming (Dorothy) Johnston. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 2 :00 pm with visitation 1 hour prior. Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Interment in Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave, Ontario. Memorial donations to Knox United, Belgrave or South Huron Hospital Foundation, Exeter would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
