Obituary of Tony Foubert
On Wednesday April 22, 2020 Tony Foubert of Wingham and formerly of Barrie, passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 73, surrounded by the love of his family.
Loving husband of Beverley (née Taylor) Foubert. Cherished dad of Julie & Kevin Stevens and Tracy & Jason McKenna. Dear grandpa of Nicole (Jeremy),Tyler, Alyssa and Kayla; Jordan, Lauren, Blake, Madison; as well as proud great-grandfather of Chloe. Tony is survived by his only sibling, his brother John Foubert (Maria), brothers-in-law Barry Taylor, David Taylor, John Taylor (Susan), and sister-in-law Nancy Distad (Hardee). Tony will be sadly missed by his father-in-law George Taylor (Lois) as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Denis & Maisie Foubert and mother-in-law Alice Taylor.
Tony was born on December 28, 1946 in England. He married the love of his life Bev on June 6th, 1970 and they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this June. Tony was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa. He enjoyed playing golf, travelling and spending time with his family. Tony served as a Provincial Constable with the OPP for 25 years; became a defense agent in provincial offences courts for 14 years and subsequently retired after 11 years as a Municipal Prosecutor.
Due to current COVID19 restrictions, a private memorial service to celebrate Tony’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Wingham on Monday, April 27th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. A link to view Tony's funeral will be available after the funeral.
