Obituary of Sietske de Boer

At Braemar Nursing Home on Monday, February 03, 2020, Sietske de Boer of Wingham and formerly of Wroxeter passed away peacefully at the age of 90.

Much loved wife of the late Dick de Boer who predeceased her in 2017. Loving and devoted mom of Janet & Gord Macatee, Rich & Carolyn deBoer, Ron & Tracey deBoer, Doug & Cecile deBoer and Jeff & Carolynne deBoer. Cherished Oma to Matthew & Sabryna, Michael, Rachel, Christa & Tomas, Amanda & Trevor, Angela & Ryan, Mitch & Miranda, Tyson & Ray, Stephanie & Dan, Tonile & Craig, Jaleesa & Josh, Jessica & Justin, Nick & Katie and Great-Oma to Hunter, Clark, Brooklynn, Rachel, Mateo, Braelynne, Raelynn, Wyatt, Aria, Chase and Myia. Sietske will be lovingly remembered by Dick’s family. Predeceased by her parents Siebolt & Janke Vlieger, brother Fred Vlieger and his wife Clemie and sister Jouke Terpstra and her husband Lubert.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at McBurney Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Wroxeter Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
