Obituary of John Victor Haines

Went home to heaven on June 26, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. John was reunited with his beloved wife Grace (2011). Loving and cherished father of Donna & Leo Desjardins, Mary Wereschuk & Alistair Taylor, William & Judith Haines. Devoted grandfather of Cheryl Campbell, Michael & Cindy Desjardins, Brian Znotins & Susan Regts, Heather & Hillar Lilles, Barbara Haines & Richard Prior, Michael & Bobbie Haines and great-grandfather to Julie, Emilee, Chloe, Alivia, Hannah, Andrejs, Aleksie and Brooklyn. Brother of Mary and John McIntosh, and brother-in-law of Hazel Haines and Vera Small. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 at Families First, 1065 Lauzon Rd. East Windsor, 519-969-5841. Visitation will continue at the McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 pm with a Masonic Service at 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., on Wednesday at 11:00am. Reverend Richard Hall officiating. Interment in Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Ontario. Memorial donations to Shriner's Hospital for Children or the Windsor & Essex County Cancer Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
