Obituary of Dorothy Thornton

Dorothy Thornton, formerly of Bluevale, at Barnswallow Place, Elmira, on Friday, May 5, 2017, Mrs. Dorothy Louise (Golley) Thornton, at the age of 100 years.

Wife of the late Wilson Thornton (2007).

Mother of Julie and John Madill, and Jill and Peter Carpenter, all of Scarborough, Jeff and Betty Thornton of LaSalle, and Cindy and Ray Nicholson of Elmira.  Grandmother of Jamie and Angel Thornton, Nathan Thornton, Nicholas Carpenter, Victoria Nicholson, and Alexandra Nicholson, and great-grandmother of Josh, Adelaide, and Jameson Thornton.

Sister of Grace Leeson of Manitoulin Island.

Dorothy was predeceased by her brothers Clarence, Jim, and Glenn Golley.

Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, on Sunday, May 7th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.  Reverend Richard Hall officiating.

Interment in Wingham Cemetery.
